Dennis is a student at Colorado Heli-Ops currently training to become a CFI.  He moved to Colorado with his family two years ago from Kaneohe Hawaii.   His wife attends CU Denver and is working on her Masters in Architecture and they have a 15 year-old son that attends Green Mountain High School.  Before moving to Denver, Dennis was a property manager in Hawaii.  He also owned and operated Hawaii’s first high tech SCUBA shop and taught mixed gas and rebreather diving to depths past 350fsw.  He has worked on NSF & National Geographic funded projects thru the University of Hawaii and personally certified over 300 divers of all levels. Dennis has worked closely with the NTSB and the FAA investigating, documenting and recovering downed aircraft from the ocean waters around the islands of Hawaii.

It has been Dennis's lifelong dream to be a helicopter pilot and now it has become reality.   After training at another area school many helicopter owners, students and instructors came to Dennis with serious concerns about the way they were being treated on many levels.  Colorado Heli-Ops is what came out of those conversations.

This past year, Dennis has taken over 20,000 photos, mostly of the many helicopters and students around the Denver area.  You can see some of the best of those photos on his photobucket link here on our website. If you are a helicopter pilot you are likely to see your smiling face there.

Dennis posts on the on-line helicopter forum “Vertical Reference” on a regular basis and we repost some of his stuff here.  His articles are all about helicopters and his journey to CFI and beyond.
