Who is this course for?
The career pilot program is designed for the person who is coming to us that has never flown a helicopter before, or someone with minimal experience, ie: a Private Pilot Certificate, and they want to make a career as a Professional Helicopter Pilot.
What will this course allow me to do?
This course allows you to fly a helicopter for hire and reward (ie: you get paid to fly!). The career opportunities are endless, from transporting workers to offshore oil rigs, fish spotting in the Philippines, lifting lumber in the forests of Oregon, flying tourists around New York City, to aid work in Africa.Â
Your qualifications earned with Colorado Heli-Ops allow you to venture out and be a successful, safe and competent Commercial Helicopter Pilot.Â
 Prerequisites
- Hold a FAA Aviation Medical Certificate (1st or 2nd Class)
- Minimum age 18 year of age at date of enrollment
Course Duration
- 18 months (average time for a fulltime student to complete the course)

- High Altitude Mountain Flying Course
- Robinson R44 conversion
- Commercial Pilot Certificate
- Certified Flight Instructor Rating (CFI)
- Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII)
Course Cost
 This course is pay as you go, this is a guideline of the course cost broken down into the course segments in the order you will train for them.
